About Me

As a major cinephile, I spend most of time locked away in my room watching movies. I'm so obsessed with them that a lot of my free time is spent researching movies when I'm not watching them. In order for others to benefit from my findings, I spent some time making custom "favorite movies" lists on Netflix. (After watching a good movie, I find myself wanting more of the same and I assume others do as well.) Netflix was never really good at recommending related films on their movie pages and I found that members with custom lists almost always had better suggestions. However, with Netflix diminishing their community and removing custom lists altogether, I needed another outlet for my findings. This is not a comprehensive guide to all the obscure movies out there nor do I claim to have all of the most up-to-date information on upcoming film projects, this is merely a means to share any opinions and information I have, with people who share common interests.

That's me on the right... Look! i has a cheezburger!! I has 4!! O_O

Despite practically growing up on Kung Fu movies as a kid, my favorite genre by far has to be Horror. I think you get a little bit of everything in a good horror movie. (some brutal slayings, tons of gore, and plenty of T&A)  Growing up on Chinese movies, I'm used to having to look to foreign cinema for my entertainment. As I got older, and my tastes a little more refined, I branched out to Italian exploitation, Japanese shock cinema, and other various Asian horror movies. My favorite decade for movies regardless of the country of origin has to be the '80s, without a doubt. People think that just because I was born in '86, that is the reason I'm biased towards movies from that time. The way I see it, I was born in the late '80s which means I actually grew up in the '90s. The '80s were my favorite decade for movies by far but I can go 20 years in either direction. I watch old Exploitation films from the '60s and '70s. Also having grown up during the '90s, I've always been partial to animation and films from this time. There are plenty of good films from 1990's-2010's. Nowadays, I enjoy watching movies from different countries, ranging from big budget blockbusters to low-budget trash cinema. Although I must admit that I am partial to more obscure titles because I figure you can punch in "Lord of the Rings" and "The Matrix" into Google and get a million different reviews. I enjoy watching the long forgotten, lost, and unknown films that most people don't know about. I am always looking to meet new friends with whom I can share, enjoy, and talk about similar interests.
